We are a no-kill shelter operating within humane guidelines dedicated to housing and caring for misplaced animals until a qualified loving home is found for them. Donations are appreciated as we are a privately operated Shelter and do not receive City, County, State or Federal Funds. On this site, you can sign up for our newsletter, apply to become one of our volunteers, and also find your forever fur-baby.
The GCHS Shelter is proud of its 97%(+) adoption rate. Our job is to take in unwanted animals, but more importantly, it is to find them good, loving homes. Since our opening in 1997, we’ve found homes for over 97% of the animals that come to us. Most shelters struggle to achieve a 15% adoption rate; you can see why we are so proud of our success.
Guadalupe County Humane Society currently has 40 kittens in our care. We are in dire need of Purina Kitten Chow as we only have 5 bags at this time. Please consider donating to help our kittens! Please share to get the word out. Thank you in advance for your support.
Please consider donating a bag of Purina Kitten Chow and dropping it off at the shelter.
Please call 830-372-2055 if you need us to pick up your donation.
Remember, adopt, don’t shop!
Guadalupe County Humane Society thanks all those who donates to our shelter for our animals. We wouldn’t be here without your support. Thanks again to the Saddle Sisters, September and Sienna, Goetz Funeral Home, to Clear Springs Elementary, and to Isabella and her Guests for all your wonderful donations.
